Carolina Fabara is an Ecuadorian lawyer and international legal scholar specializing in business law, international investment law, and Chinese foreign investment law. Founder of CrossFrontier Legal Consulting and Umalliq NGO. She is a Post Doctoral Fellow at Sun Yat Sen University. She holds PhD in International Law at the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing and holds an LLM in commercial and economic law from the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, as well as a specialization in Business Law from Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar.
Her research and professional work focus on the internationalization of companies, comparative law, and legal consulting for cross-border business, with a strong interest in digital business and sustainable development. She has published in several Latin American legal journals on business law, gender equality, and entrepreneurship, and is committed to advancing women’s economic empowerment through her leadership and advocacy.
