Borko Mihajlović is an Associate Professor and holder of the Jean Monnet Module for European consumer law at the University of Kragujevac Faculty of Law (Serbia). He also earned an LL.M. in United States Business Law from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, graduating summa cum laude. His research focuses on some of the most relevant issues concerning the harmonization of Serbian law with EU law, particularly in the fields of company law and consumer law. He served as a visiting professor in Italy and Portugal, and he currently holds the position of visiting professor at the Faculty of Law, University of East Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina). He was a recipient of the Max Planck Society Scholarship for a research stay at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg, as well as a Louvain Global College of Law Fellow at the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve. In addition to his academic activities, he completed a one-year traineeship in the Legal Service of the European Commission. He also regularly served as a legal expert on various EU-commissioned projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina, primarily dealing with the improvement of consumer law.
