Leonardo Lazzaro is a Teaching Assistant in Data Protection Law at LUISS Guido Carli University of Rome. His research interests lie at the intersection of EU data protection, digital markets regulation, and the governance of emerging technologies, with a broader focus on how legal frameworks shape market dynamics in data-driven environments. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Law, defending a thesis on consent as a point of tension between data protection and market regulation, which received a Special Acknowledgement from the examination committee. He further developed a comparative perspective on these issues during a period in the United States at Fordham University. He is currently working in legal practice within a Commercial, Data and International Trade team, focusing on privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property.
