Iman Mirzazadeh is a Business and Human Rights lawyer, writer, and responsible technology advocate with academic and professional experience in both Iran and Sweden. His work focuses on the intersection of law, ethics, and technology, with particular emphasis on anti corruption, corporate accountability, and the protection of human rights in the digital age. Iman holds a PhD in Law from the University of Tehran, where his doctoral research explored the relationship between anti-corruption and human security. He also holds master’s degrees in international law and human rights from Uppsala University and Stockholm University.
His interests include the legal and ethical dimensions of emerging technologies, the role of
businesses in safeguarding fundamental rights, and the structural conditions that enable
responsible innovation. Iman has written articles in English and Persian on topics such as the rule of law, anti-corruption, and the human rights implications of artificial intelligence.
He is involved in initiatives such as EthicalTech ideell förening, a Swedish non-profit association promoting ethical and inclusive digital development, and contributes to the Responsible Tech initiative, which encourages public dialogue around the societal impacts of digital technologies.
Iman is a strong advocate for the global frameworks that guide responsible business conduct. His approach is informed by rights-based and risk-based methodologies, grounded in international standards including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, and the UN Global Compact. He views these frameworks as essential tools for integrating human rights and sustainability into business practices and technological innovation.
