Sayantan Dey is a legal and compliance professional with 15+ years of overall experience. His work area has been into dealing with Competition Law, Contracts, AI , Privacy and Anti –Bribery & Corruption. He has strong interest in Privacy , Competition Law , AI/Data Act and its intersections.
He has had work exposure in different sectors such as Education, Pharmaceutical, IT/ITES, Mining/Engineering , Manufacturing etc.
He is a certified privacy professional with certifications CIPP/E and CIPT from IAPP (The International Association of Privacy Professionals). He has done his Bachelor’s Degree in Law from India, and has successfully completed LLM in European and International Trade Law from Lund University School of Economics and Management in 2025.
He is currently working as Data Privacy Counsel with Alfa Laval and is an IAPP Knowledge Net Chapter Co Chair (Sweden).
He relishes academic-legal exchange/challenge in the form of ideas, presentations, research. As part of recent academic endeavour to continuously improve and contribute, his academic contribution as part of Master Thesis has been :” Competition Law Framework through European Commission’s Block Exemption Regulations with focus on Motor Vehicles Sector Aftermarket & reliance on Non-Personal Data”
